Title: Repeals Several Medically Unnecessary Abortion and Reproductive Health Care Restrictions
Vote to concur with house amendments and final pass a bill that repeals several medically unnecessary abortion and reproductive health care restrictions.
Repeals certain targetted requirements and restrictions (trap laws) on abortion providers including, but not limited to (Sec. 2690-20115):
24-hour waiting periods;
Certain abortion facility standards like procedure room size and hallway width;
Requirements to report abortions to the state health department and file a written report;
State mandated printed information such as pictures of fetuses and information about alternatives such as adoption;
Abortion screenings on coercion;
Criminal penalties for disposal of abortion remains; and
Individual physical requirements prior to receiving an abortion pill.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 2690-20115).
