Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funding for the fiscal year 2023-2025 state budget.

Highlights:

• Appropriates $280.7 million from the general budget for various governmental costs and expenditures for fiscal year 2023-2025, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):

• $23.2 million for salaries and wages;

• $19.4 million for operating expenses;

• $9.3 million for capital assets;

• $82.5 million for targeted market equity pool;

• $20 million for deferred maintenance funding pool;

• $98.2 million for new and vacant FTE funding pool; and

• $12.6 million for employer retirement contribution pool.

• Appropriates $36.5 million from the general budget for various state construction costs and expenditures, including, but not limited to (Sec. 2):

• $1.3 million for statewide budget software;

• $7 million for the legislative wing ventilation improvements;

• $2 million for procurement software;

• $1 million for Pierce County medical center grant; and

• $10 million for deferred maintenance projects;

• Appropriates $12.5 million from the general budget for various state government departmentalal costs and expenditures for fiscal year 2023-2025, including, but not limited to (Sec. 17):

• $2.1 million for the Attorney General;

• $2.1 million for the Department of Health and Human Services;

• $1.2 million for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation; and

• $1.1 million for the Department of Transportation.

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor and filing with the secretary of state (Sec. 26).
