Title: Appropriates Funding for the Fiscal Year 2023-2025 State Budget
Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funding for the fiscal year 2023-2025 state budget.
Appropriates $280.7 million from the general budget for various governmental costs and expenditures for fiscal year 2023-2025, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):
$23.2 million for salaries and wages;
$19.4 million for operating expenses;
$9.3 million for capital assets;
$82.5 million for targeted market equity pool;
$20 million for deferred maintenance funding pool;
$98.2 million for new and vacant FTE funding pool; and
$12.6 million for employer retirement contribution pool.
Appropriates $36.5 million from the general budget for various state construction costs and expenditures, including, but not limited to (Sec. 2):
$1.3 million for statewide budget software;
$7 million for the legislative wing ventilation improvements;
$2 million for procurement software;
$1 million for Pierce County medical center grant; and
$10 million for deferred maintenance projects;
Appropriates $12.5 million from the general budget for various state government departmentalal costs and expenditures for fiscal year 2023-2025, including, but not limited to (Sec. 17):
$2.1 million for the Attorney General;
$2.1 million for the Department of Health and Human Services;
$1.2 million for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation; and
$1.1 million for the Department of Transportation.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor and filing with the secretary of state (Sec. 26).
