Title: Amend Provisions Relating to Public Health and Welfare
Vote to pass a bill that amends provisions relating to public health and welfare.
Specifies income eligibility requirements for receiving services under Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) shall remain at 165% of the federal poverty level until 2025 (Sec. 65).
Authorizes individuals seeking protection orders against domestic abusers to include protection of household pets and allows courts to bar abusers from coming into contact with, or killing said pets (Sec. 99).
Appropriates funding to pay hospitals at nursing home rates for patients who are ready to be discharged but cannot find a nursing home bed (Sec. 64).
Establishes a pilot program to give financial incentives to nursing homes for taking patients with complex medical needs (Sec. 63).
Increases the number of clinical training sites for nursing students to help address the workforce shortage (Sec. 75).
Increases medicaid coverage for first time mothers from 60 days to 6 months to help address postpartum health problems (Sec. 61).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 122).
