Vote to pass a bill that prohibits smoking in a motor vehicle when a minor is present.

Highlights:

• Prohibits a person from smoking in a vehicle, in motion or at rest, if a person under 16 years of age is in the vehicle regardless of whether windows are open (Sec. 3). 

• Specifies that this bill does not apply to private homes, private residences, or private vehicles except when (Sec. 2):

• The home, residence, or vehicle is being used for child care or daycare; and

• The private vehicle is being used for the public transportation of children.
