Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funding for the fiscal year 2023-2025 state budget including funding for the new paid family and medical leave program.
Appropriates funding for the Fiscal year of 2023-2025 (Sec. 1).
Establishes a mandatory paid leave program for individuals needing to take care of family members or during times of bereavement (Sec. 6).
Appropriates $25 million dollars for the program (Sec. 6).
Establishes new Payroll tax to fund the program over time (Sec. 6).
Appropriates $60 million dollars for Child care in the state (Sec. 15).
Expands subsidies for families (Sec. 15).
Expands stipend for child care workers to $400 (Sec. 15).
Expands income tax relief for retirees (Sec. 16).
Expands the amount of pension income that’s exempt from state income taxes from $30,000 to $35,000 (Sec. 17).
Expands funding for the Business Tax Incentive Plan (Sec. 22).
