Title: Prohibits Public and Private Schools from Requiring the COVID-19 Vaccine

Vote to override the governors veto and pass a bill that prohibits public and private schools from requiring the COVID-19 vaccine.

Highlights:

  • Prohibits educational institutions from requiring COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of initial enrollment or continuing attendance at public or nonpublic institutions (Sec. 1). 

  • Authorizes administrators of the educational institution with the office of public health’s recommendation to exclude any student or client without sufficient immunization records from the institution during a vaccine preventable disease outbreak (Sec. 1). 

  • Specifies that the above requirements do not apply to anyone whose course registration is limited to online courses or any other courses that do not require physical on campus meetings (Sec. 1).
