Title: Establishes a Registry for Certain Offenders Convicted of Crimes Against Children
Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that establishes a criminal registry for certain offenders convicted of crimes against children.
Requires individuals who have been convicted of crimes against a child shall have to register with the local sheriff's office of their current residences (Sec. 1).
Specifies that they shall register all the following information to law enforcement (Sec. 1):
Names and aliases;
Physical address;
Two forms of proof of residences;
The crime for which the committed;
A current photograph;
Vehicle description;
Social security number and date of birth;
Past or current employment.
Requires each individual convicted to register in person and be present within 30 days to register (Sec. 1).
Specifies that supplying false information will result in a failure to register (Sec. 1).
Requires updates to registration for the following information (Sec. 1):
Change in residence;
Vacation from current residence; or
Absence from current residence for long period of time.
