Vote to pass a bill that expands state paid family and medical leave insurance.

Highlights:

• Expands the state paid family and medical leave insurance program to 12 weeks and requires employers provide employees 90% pay and employment protection (Sec. 6).

• Expands the aforementioned state paid family leave to apply to both employees and their family members and for a variety of health conditions, including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 6):

• Miscarriages;

• Residential treatment for substance use disorder;

• Childbirth; and

• Child bonding.

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect July 1, 2025 (Sec. 18).
