Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that requires the Department of Social Services amend the foster care vetting process to ensure LGBTQ+ foster youth are not placed in foster homes that may be hostile to them.

Highlights:

• Requires a resource family to demonstrate an ability and willingness to meet the needs of a child regardless of the child's sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression (Sec. 1). 

• Requires counties to ensure that the caregiver training described above supports children who belong to all racial, ethnic, or religious groups as well as all sexual orientations, gender identities, mental or physical disabilities, or HIV Status (Sec. 1).
