Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that establishes the West Virginia-Ireland Trade Commission.

Highlights:

• Establishes a 9 member West Virginia-Ireland Trade Commission, made up of the following individuals, including (Article 36, Sec. 29):

• 2 senators;

• 2 delegates; and

• 5 members appointed by the Governor.

• Specifies that the members of the commission shall serve 4 year terms with the purpose to advance bilateral trade and investment between the state of West Virginia and Ireland (Article 36, Sec. 29).

• Authorizes the commission to initiate joint action on policy issues of mutual interst to West Virginia and Ireland, promote business and academic exchanges between West Virginia and Ireland, and encourage mutual investment in the instruction (Article 36, Sec. 29).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect March 17, 2023 (Article 36, Sec. 29).
