Title: Increases Construction Speed of New Affordable Housing Projects

Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that increases construction speed of new affordable housing projects in the state of California.

Highlights:

  • Authorizes a development proponent to submit an application for a multifamily housing development that is subject to a streamline approval process if the development satisfied planning standards (Sec. 1). 

  • Authorizes the Department of General Services to act in the place of local government for streamlined approval of the project (Sec. 1).
