Title: Prohibits Psychological Abuse in the Workplace
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits psychological abuse in the workplace.
Requires employers to hold a safe psychological and physical workplace for employees (Ch. 60, Sec. 1).
Requires employers to be responsible for safe work practices (Ch. 60, Sec. 1).
Prohibits any type of abuse from employers and employees (Ch. 60, Sec. 1).
Authorizes complaints from employees (Ch. 60, Sec. 1).
Requires employers to assess the conditions of complaints from employees (Ch. 60, Sec. 1).
Requires employers to contact the state inspector if the condition violates OSHA (Ch. 60, Sec. 1).
Authorizes that anyone who makes a complaint will be protected under this bill (Ch. 60, Sec. 1).
Authorizes complainants who provide a violation of this bill are entitled to all remedies to make the complaint whole (Ch. 60, Sec. 1).
Authorizes remedies should factor whether a toxic work environment/injury occurred Ch. 60, Sec. 1):
Employer must provide an apology of the complainant who remain in the workplace;
Reinstatement of work;
Economic compensation from lost wages;
Compensation for physical or psychological injury;
Preventive causes in workplace to avoid future incidents;
Public notification of the case;
Attorneys fees for plaintiff; and
Any other relief deemed necessary and appropriate.
