Vote to amend and pass a bill that restructures the state housing appeals board and affordable housing plan requirements.

Highlights:

• Specifies that parking costs and other associated costs be taken into account in the definition of affordable housing (Sec. 15). 

• Defines “Exempt Local Government” (Sec. 15).

• Defines “Housing Organization” (Sec. 15). 

• Specifies that affordable housing include both owner-occupied dwelling units and dwelling units for rent (Sec. 15). 

• Requires the affordable housing plan include housing market conditions, infrastructure limitations, local government ordinances, including zoning and land use ordinances, local government policies or practices that do not affirm further, fair housing as defined in the federal Fair Housing Act and its rules (Sec. 15).
