Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that authorizes for consumers to bring their own plastic containers to restaurants.

Highlights:

• Authorizes for consumers to bring their own maintained, clean sanitary, and free from debris smooth, durable, and easy-to-clean plastic containers to restaurants (Sec. 5).

• Authorizes restaurants or retailers to fill or refill a consumer-owned container with ready-to-eat or dry bulk foods (Sec. 5).

• Requires the Department of Public Health to produce electronic informative materials by January 1, 2024 specifying that the use of consumer-owned containers for restaraunts and retailers is not prohibited (Sec. 5).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 99).
