Title: Authorizes Consumers to Bring Their Own Plastic Containers to Restaurants
Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that authorizes for consumers to bring their own plastic containers to restaurants.
Authorizes for consumers to bring their own maintained, clean sanitary, and free from debris smooth, durable, and easy-to-clean plastic containers to restaurants (Sec. 5).
Authorizes restaurants or retailers to fill or refill a consumer-owned container with ready-to-eat or dry bulk foods (Sec. 5).
Requires the Department of Public Health to produce electronic informative materials by January 1, 2024 specifying that the use of consumer-owned containers for restaraunts and retailers is not prohibited (Sec. 5).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 99).
