Title: Amends Safety Measures and Prohibits Unfair Contract Terminations for Exotic Dancers

  • Specifies that adult entertainment establishments may not charge fees for employees  (Sec. 5). 

  • Specifies that for non-employees an establishment may not charge a fee that is more than  30% of the fees collected by the performer, carry on unpaid balances, charge fees for late appearances or for late payment (Sec. 5). 

  • Specifies that establishments may not control the following (Sec. 5). 

    • How much an entertainer charges; 

    • When and how the entertainer works; 

    • What type of clothing they are to wear; 

    • Take adverse action on the entertainer based on scheduling;

    • Other controlling actions. 

  • Specifies that fees must be stated in a written contract (Sec. 5). 

  • Specifies that if one part of the act is invalid the rest shall remain valid (Sec. 7).
