Vote to pass a bill that amends regulations of energy sources by counties and cities.

Highlights:

• Amends regulations of energy sources by counties and cities (Sec. 1).

• Defines “energy sources” for the purposes of this bill as any fuel or power source used to power an engine, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):

• Aviation fuel;

• Biofuel

• Compressed or liquified natural gas;

• Diesel fuel including renewable energy and biodiesel blended fuel;

• Electricity used for charging electric vehicles;

• Gasoline including ethanol blended gasoline;

• Gas distillates;

• Hydrogen; and

• Liquified petroleum gas.

• Prohibits a county or city from adopting an ordinance, motion, resolution, or amendment that limits consumer access to an energy source (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect upon passagen and approval by the governor (Sec. 2).
