Title: Authorizes Residential Eviction Court Files to be Sealed
Vote to concur with Senate passage and pass a bill that authorizes residential eviction court files to be sealed.
Authorizes actions to be sealed by the court upon motion by any of the parties involved at least 30 days after the expiration of the appeal period following the conclusion of the civil action (Sec. 1).
Requires that the court seal the record of civil action upon finding that the action was dismissed as a result of a motion to dismiss, the action was resolved by stipulation, any monetary judgment against the moving party has been satisfied in full, or the action has been dismissed for lack of prosecution after 5 years (Sec. 1).
Requires that the court make a finding that the moving party notified all parties of their motion to seal the record and is the only request made by the moving party within the previous 5 years (Sec. 1).
