Vote to pass a bill that prohibits 3-D printed firearms or "ghost-guns", unless from a licenses state firearm manufacturer.

Highlights:

  • Prohibits 3-D printed firearms or "ghost-guns", or 3-D printed firearm-related products unless from a licenses state firearm manufacturer (Sec. 1).

  • Prohibits the sale, purchase, possession, or receipt of a 3 dimensional printer that has the sole or primary function of manufacturing firearms for any individual that is not a state licensed firearm manufacturer (Sec. 1).

  • Requires firearm manufacturers take reasonable proecautions starting July 1, 2023 to ensure that they do not sell, distribute, or provide 3-D printed firearms or firearm-related products (Sec. 1).

  • Amends the definition of “firearm-related products” to include both 3-dimensional printers and computer numerical control (CNC) milling machines (Sec. 1).

  • Defines “3-dimensional printers” as a computer-aided manufacturing device capable of producing a 3-dimensional object from a 3 dimensional digital model through an additive manufacturing process (Sec. 2).

  • Authorizes the attorney general to bring civil actions against any individual found to have violated the aforementioned provisions not to exceed $25,000 (Sec. 2).
