Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that appropriates funding for the general budget for the state of Pennsylvania.
Appropriates $45.5 billion in funding for the general budget for the state of Pennsylvania (Part I, Sec. 101).
Increases state education appropriation funding by $700 million, an overall 8% increase from the previous budget to fund various programs including flat funding for (Part I, Sec. 108):
The Pre-K Counts program; and
The Head Start Supplemental Assistance program.
Appropriates $100 million from the general budget for crime victims assistance fund, $7 million for the violence against women formula grant program, and $1.5 million for the stop school violence grant (Part II, Sec. 202).
Appropriates $52.7 million from the general budget for costs and expenses related to the office of the State Attorney General (Part II, Sec. 204).
Appropriates $59.7 million from the general budget for drug law enforcement costs and expenses (Part II, Sec, 204).
Appropriates $1.2 billion from the general budget for the state Department of Aging (Part II, Sec. 206).
Appropriates $43.4 million from the general budget for the state Department of Agriculture Part II, Sec. 208).
Appropriates $81.4 million from the general budget for community and economic relief (Part II, Sec. 209).
Appropriates $50 million from the general budget for hospital and health systems emergency relief (Part II, Sec. 209).
Appropriates $60.7 million from the general budget for state park operation costs and expenses (Part II, Sec. 210).
Appropriates $2.25 billion from the general budget for state correctional institutions and facilities costs and expenses (Part II, Sec. 212).
Appropriates $21 million from the general budget for migrant education administration costs and expenses (Part II, Sec. 215).
Specifies that the aforementioned appropriations shall become effective upon passage and approval by the governor (Part LXXXI, Sec. 8102).
