Title: Prohibits Landlords from Limiting or Evicting Tenants for Repeatedly Calling Law Enforcement or Emergency Services
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits landlords from limiting or evicting tenants for repeatedly summoning law enforcement or emergency services.
Prohibits a landlord from using a lease or form of lease that contains a provision that limits a tenant’s ability to summon, or penalizes a tenant or another individual solely for summoning, the assistance of law enforcement or emergency service (Sec. 1).
prohibits a landlord from taking certain retaliatory actions because a tenant or another individual summons the assistance of law enforcement or emergency services for certain purposes (Sec. 1).
prohibits a local jurisdiction from enacting certain laws that impede a tenants access to emergency services (Sec. 1).
