Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that extends expanded free speech protections to college campuses.

Highlights:

• Authorizes a person lawfully on a university or community college campus to engage in expressive activity, such as protest and demonstration, in any area where the person is lawfully present (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that this subsection does not prohibit a university or community college from regulating economic activity on their campus (Sec. 1).

• Prohibits a university or community college from limiting any area on campus where free speech may be exercised by a lawfully present person, subject to reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions (Sec. 2).

• Authorizes this bill to apply retroactively to, from, and after June 30, 2022 (Sec. 4).
