• Defines invasive bamboo as bamboo with aggressive spreading behavior, including the bamboo species in the Genus Phyllostachys (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes the governing body of a county or municipality to prohibit a person from (Sec. 1):

• Selling invasive bamboo;

• Planting invasive bamboo; and

• Allowing invasive bamboo to grow on their property without appropriate upkeep and containment measures.

• Authorizes the governing body of a county or municipality to enforce these regulations by requiring any damages caused by invasive bamboo to be mitigated and to establish a civil fine (Sec. 1).
