Title: Requires Maryland Health Care Commission Ensure the Confidentiality of Data of Patients who have Obtained "Legally Protected Healthcare"
Vote to pass a bill that requires Maryland Health Care Commission to ensure confidentiality of data of patients who have obtained "legally protected health care' including reproductive health care.
Establishes the Maryland Protected Health Care Commission (Sec. 1).
Requires custodians to deny inspection of the part of a public record that contains the following information (Sec. 1):
The name of an individual who received services at a surgical abortion facility
Information related to the investigation of a licensee or certificate holder
Reduces access to data of patients who have accessed legally protected healthcare (Sec. 1).
Defines legally protected healthcare (Sec. 1).
Defines Sensitive health Services (Sec. 1).
Reduces access by outside entities to healthcare data related to the drug Mifepristone (Sec. 1).
