Title: Requires Institutions of Higher Education Develop a Reproductive Health Services Plan in Consultation with Students
Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that requires institutions of higher education to develop a reproductive health services plan in consultation with students by August 1, 2024.
Requires each Public Senior high education institution to develop and implement a reproductive health services plan to provide at each university applicable to this act (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the University of Baltimore will provide students with OTC contraception in lieu of these plans (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the plan shall involve the following (Sec. 1):
Access to all methods of FDA compliant contraception and 24 hour access to OTC contraception through the student health center or other means;
Prevention and treatment services for STDs;
Abortion care services;
Access to evidence based reproductive health Education Services provided by student health center
Off campus referral to other health service providers including pharmacies (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the institution shall update the health services plan each year and that the Maryland Department of Health shall provide assistance (Sec. 1).
