Vote to pass a bill which requires that public schools report spending for paid media advertisements.

Highlights:

• Increases transparency requirements for state charter schools in Pennsylvania by targeting conflicts of interest and requiring annual reporting the state legislature (Sec. 1-2).

• Requires each public charter school comply with state ethics and open records law (Sec. 3).

• Reduces state tuition funding appropriation amounts for cyber charter schools by $456 million (Sec. 4).

• Requires state tuition standards for non-special education cyber charter students and specifies that the tuition for special education students be aligned with the same system used for school districts (Sec. 5).

• Prohibits charter school from advertising or holding event sponsorships as well as having any enrollment incentives (Sec. 7).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 14).
