Title: Requires Public Schools Report Spending for Paid Media Advertisements
Vote to pass a bill which requires that public schools report spending for paid media advertisements.
Increases transparency requirements for state charter schools in Pennsylvania by targeting conflicts of interest and requiring annual reporting the state legislature (Sec. 1-2).
Requires each public charter school comply with state ethics and open records law (Sec. 3).
Reduces state tuition funding appropriation amounts for cyber charter schools by $456 million (Sec. 4).
Requires state tuition standards for non-special education cyber charter students and specifies that the tuition for special education students be aligned with the same system used for school districts (Sec. 5).
Prohibits charter school from advertising or holding event sponsorships as well as having any enrollment incentives (Sec. 7).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 14).
