Title: Amends Certain Abortion Terms Within the Department of Health and Human Services to Clarify Language
Vote to pass a bill that amends certain abortion terms within the Department of Health and Human Services to clarify language.
Amends specific provisions related to S.B. 20 and the Department of Health and Human Services, including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 13B.1a):
Ability to “advise” pregnany women about abortions after 12 weeks pregnancy;
Requiring a 72-hour waiting period before receiving an abortion procedure or abortion-inducing drugs; or
Mandatory reporting from healthcare professions of abortions involving minors.
Requires any provisions dealing with hospitalization of victims of rape or incest and their ability to receive an abortion after 12 weeks to not take effect until October 1, 2023 (Sec. 9.1.a).
Specifies that besides the aforementioned provisions this bill shall take effect July 1, 2023 (Sec. 14.1.k).
