• Specifies that for the purposes of this bill the use of pronouns in classrooms is a matter of free speech and academic freedom and faculty members, teachers, and employees of public school shall not lose their constitutional right to free speech or expression at work (Sec. 1).

• Requires parental or legal guardian approval in order for teachers and faculty to address transgender students  with the pronoun they identify (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes individuals harmed by a violation of this bill to bring cause of action for the following, including (Sec. 1):
