Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that establishes a state charter school review board.

Highlights:

• Establishes an 8 person state charter school review board to review, authorize, and oversee charter schools and streamline the approval process (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the review board shall be made up of the following members, including (Sec. 1):

• 3 members appointed by the superintendent of public institution;

• The chairman of the state board of education, or their designee;

• 3 members appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate; and

• The dean of the university of Wyoming’s college of education or their designee.

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect July 1, 2023 (Sec. 5).
