Title: Amends the Voter Registration Process
Vote to amend and pass a bill that amends the state voter registration process.
Requires an individual to put an address where they receive mail if it is different from the address where they live (Sec. 1).
Specifies that to verify citizenship an individual must check the box marked citizenship on the form or present documents to a government official during another government transaction (Sec. 1).
Specifies that a voting application is only complete if it is completed before the day of the election even if it is done through automatic registrations (Sec. 1).
Specifies that if a person signs up for automatic voter registration, 5 days after the application is submitted and approved the voter shall receive a notice package from the auditor (Sec. 4).
Specifies that if a person has previously registered to vote elsewhere they may list where they were previously registered on their new application (Sec. 6).
Authorizes individuals who are not using automatic voter registration to update their addresses for voting purposes when receiving service at agencies designated by the RCW statutes previously established (Sec. 10)
Requires the department of licensing to transmit to the secretary of the state accurate information regarding a voters language preferences, phone numbers, and email addresses along with status of citizenship at the request of the (Sec. 10).
Specifies other changes to the voter registration process concerning automatic registration and its effects on new and existing applicants (Sec. 10).
