Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that prohibits pharmacy benefits managers from taking certain actions.

Highlights:

• Prohibits actions by pharmacy benefit managers that spread false information or grant a personal benefit (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that an individual cannot be restricted when choosing an in network pharmacy (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes more discretion in regards to patient privacy and pharmaceutical records (Sec. 3).  

• Requires pharmacies and their pharmacy benefits managers to have a set process through which they can resolve disputes (Sec. 1). 

• Amends the process for when a maximum  allowable cost appeal is denied (Sec. 2).

• Appropriates $100,000 for these processes until June 2025 (Sec. 3).

• Appropriates further $125,000 for a permanent position to implement this bill (Sec. 3).
