Title: Establishes a Loan Forgiveness Fund for Police Officers who take Required Training and Work in the State for a Year
Vote to adopt a conference report and pass a bill that establishes a tuition reimbursement fund for police officers who take required training to receive their license and are then employed in Missouri for at least one year.
Establishes a “Police Officer Basic Training Tuition Reimbursement Fund” for police officers who take required training to receive their license and are then employed in the state of Missouri for at least one year (Sec. A).
Authorizes the State Treasurer to make appropriations for the aforementioned fund annually using general revenue, gifts, bequests, or donations (Sec. A).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. A).
