Title: Establishes a Loan Forgiveness Program for Mental Health and Public Health Professionals
Vote to adopt a conference report and pass a bill that establishes a loan forgiveness program for mental health and public health professionals who work in underserved areas for at least 2 years.
Establishes a student loan forgiveness program for mental health and public health professionals who work in underserved areas in the state for at least 2 years (Sec. A).
Authorizes the aforementioned loan forgiveness program to replace a previously established program that applied only to doctor and placed caps on the number of loans available (Sec. A).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. A).
