Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that requires background checks for all students 18 years old and older reenrolling in high school.

Highlights:

• Requires state fingerprint background checks for all students 18 years old and older reenrolling in high school who has dropped out of school within the previous 6 years (Sec. A).

• Prohibits individuals found, as a result of the state fingerprint background check, to have been convicted of a crime or offense from reenrolling in any course or school (Sec. A).

• Authorizes the Department of Health and Senior Services to requires all employees, contractors, oweners, and volunteers of marijuana facilities to submit to state fingerprint background checks (Sec. A).

• Defines “marijuana facility” as an entity licensed or certified by the department of health and senior services to cultivate, manufacture, test, transport, dispense, or conduct research on marijuana or marijuana products (Sec. A).

• Specifies that this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. A).
