Vote to amend and pass a bill that authorizes Oregon to enter into the Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact.

Highlights:

• Authorizes the state of Oregon to join the Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the interstate teacher mobility compact shall have following intentions, including, but not limited to (Sec. 1):

• To create a streamlined pathway to licensure mobility for teachers;

• Support the relocation of eligible military spouses;

• Facilitate and enhance the exchange of licensure, investigative, and disciplinary information between the member states;

• Support the retention of teachers in the profession by removing barriers to relicensure in a new state; and

• Maintain sovereignty in the regulation of the teaching profession.
