Title: Authorizes the Individual Sale of Home Baked Goods
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes the individual sale of home baked goods.
Authorizes the individual sale of home baked goods to expand economic activity in the state
Specifies that the Departments of Labor and Agriculture may not prohibit a food establishment retailer located in a residential dwelling, including food establishments licesed as a domestic kitchen from selling food on the basis that there are pets in the residential dwelling (Sec. 1).
Defines “retailer” as an individual who engages in the business of selling consumer goods to retail buyers (excluding restaurants) and including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 1):
Coffee shops; and
Packaged food, including:
Baked good;
Confectionary items;
Coffee beans;
Teas;
Popcorn;
Jams;
Jellies;
Honey;
Syrup;
Fruit;
Butter;
Nut mixes;
Repackaged freeze-dried foods;
Repackaged dried and dehydrated foods; and
Powdered drink mixes.
Specifies that this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 1).
