Title: Amends Laws and Statutes Concerning the Decriminalization of Certain Hallucinogens
Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that amends current laws and statutes regarding certain hallucinogens.
Amends prior legislation making the possession, preparation, obtaining, transfer of specified quantities of psilocybin, psilocyn, dimethyltryptamine (DMT), ibogaine, and mescaline lawful (Sec. 1):
Establishes that paraphernalia related to these substances or their testing is no longer illegal; and
Required that the people involved are 21 or older; or
Authorizes penalties for possession of these substances on school grounds and if someone under 21 possesses these substances or it is given to them.
Establishes a new state-mandated local program driven by local prosecutors that will create new drug related offenses to manage substance abuse issues (Sec. 1).
