Vote to pass a bill that requires utility companies remove abandoned copper wires and lines.
Requires a utility company who has abandoned a powerline to remove said line from all points of attachments barring any federal law that prevents otherwise (Sec. 1).
Requires utilities to mark on both ends of a powerline that they are the owners and proprietors of said line (Sec. 1).
Specifies that entities that own telephone polls who do not own telephone lines may send a request to have said lines removed (Sec. 1).
Specifies that owners of telephone polls may also require a security deposit that will be refunded when the line is removed (Sec. 1).
Requires the Board of public utilities and the Department of Community Affairs to set the rules and regulations concerning the removal of these lines (Sec. 1).
Specifies that this act goes into effect immediately (Sec. 1).
