Title: Establishes New Penalties for the Operation of a Fentanyl Producing Laboratory
Vote to pass a bill that establishes new penalties for the operation of a fentanyl producing laboratory.
Authorizes that individuals who are convicted of operating a clandestine drug manufacturing facility or laboratory will carry the following penalties (Sec. 1):
On first conviction the convicted person will serve no less than ten years and no more than 40 years;
On second conviction imprisonment and hard labor for not less than thirty years and no more than 40 years;
On third conviction no less than 99 years in prison without the benefit of parole and a fine of no less than $500,000
