Highlights:

• Requires the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) to update the Legislature on the time it takes to process applications for credentials (Sec. 1).

• Requires DSPS to include the following information on their legislative report, including (Sec. 2):

• The number of applications of initial, renewal, and reciprocal credentials received;

• The lowest, highest, and median number of days from beginning application initiation to final determination;

• The median number of contacts made to and received from an applicant before final application determination is made;

• The number of applications the DAPA has requested for more information and report those numbers separately; and

• The number of applications that included review of an arrest, conviction, or other offense record.

• Specifies that this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 2).
