Title: Requires Department of Safety and Professional Services Update the Legislature on the Time Length to Process Credentialed Applications
Vote to pass a bill that require the Department of Safety and Professional Services to update the Legislature on the time it takes to process applications for credentials.
Requires the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) to update the Legislature on the time it takes to process applications for credentials (Sec. 1).
Requires DSPS to include the following information on their legislative report, including (Sec. 2):
The number of applications of initial, renewal, and reciprocal credentials received;
The lowest, highest, and median number of days from beginning application initiation to final determination;
The median number of contacts made to and received from an applicant before final application determination is made;
The number of applications the DAPA has requested for more information and report those numbers separately; and
The number of applications that included review of an arrest, conviction, or other offense record.
Specifies that this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 2).
