Vote to pass a bill that establishes new rules regarding eligibility for welfare benefits.

Highlights:

• Requires the Department of Health, Education and Welfare to submit a report to the senate committee containing the following information concerning welfare benefits (Sec. 1): 

• Details on lottery winnings and how they are being accounted for when determining cash assistance; 

• Details on if any vehicles were exempted; and

• Details on the total value of the vehicles that individuals in the report owned and whether that prevented them from being eligible for public assistance.

• Requires this act to go into effect 60 days after passing  (Sec. 2).
