Vote to pass a bill that requires legislative reporting of distracted driving fine amounts and statistics.

Highlights:

• Requires the department of state police send a report no later than 42 months after the passage of this bill, and annually thereafter to the senate majority leader, speaker of the house, and governor that covers the following information, including (Sec. 602c):

• The number of citations given;

• The race and ethnicity of the individual’s given citations;

• The number of each violation causing vehicle crashes, serious injury, or death.

• Specifies that this bill will not take effect unless House Bill 4250 and House Bill 4251 are subsequently passes and enacted into law (Sec. 602c).
