Title: Prohibits the State from Cooperating with Out-of-State Abortion Lawsuits
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the state from cooperating with out-of-state lawsuits targeting doctors in Hawaii who perform abortions on individuals who may have traveled to the state for that procedure.
Prohibits the state attorney general, law enforcement agency, or court system from cooperating with any out-of-state lawsuits targeting any doctor or physician assistants in Hawaii who perform abortions on individuals who may have traveled to the state for that procedure (Pt. I, Sec. 2).
Amends previous law to specify that physician assistants shall be allowed to perform any abortion procedure and repeals the requirement that abortion procedures only be performed in hospitals (Pt. I, Sec. 2).
Prohibits any foreign penalty or civil action arising from any violation in another state relating to reproductive health care services from being carried out or enforced in this state (Pt. IV, Sec. 13).
Specifies that this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Pt, IV, Sec. 17).
