Vote to pass a bill that exempts certain runaway youths from being able to consent to certain medical, dental, health and hospital services.

Highlights:

• Authorizes anybody who is 18 years or older, is a parent of a child, or has married to give effective consent for medical, dental, health and hospital services for themself (Sec. 1). 

• Authorizes anybody who is a homeless youth or is given services at an approved runaway and homeless youth crisis services program or a transitional independent living support program to give effective consent for medical, dental, health and hospital services for themself (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that the consent of no other individual shall be necessary (Sec. 1).
