Title: Requires Drug Testing Requirements for individuals Claiming Unemployment Benefits
Vote to pass a bill that requires the Department of Workforce Development to enforce federal drug testing requirements for individuals claiming unemployment benefits in certain occupations.
Requires the Department of Workforce Development to enforce federal drug testing requirements for individuals claiming unemployment benefits in certain occupations (Sec. 32).
Amends previous law to change references to unemployment insurance in state statutes to reemployment assistance (Sec. 1-45).
Requires for the third and subsequent weeks of a claimants benefit year, that at least 2 of the required weekly work search actions be direct contacts with potential employers (Sec. 21).
Requires claimants that reside in the state to each week other than the initial week post on the department of workforce development (DWD) website their current resume (Sec. 26).
Repeals current law specifying claimants who meet certain work search requirements apply for other specific jobs (Sec. 21).
Authorizes the DWD to require claimants participate in a public employment office workshop or training program to qualify for unemployment benefits (Sec. 22).
