Title: Amends the Creation of Public School Districts
Vote to pass a bill that amends the process by which public school districts are created.
Amends previous laws to say that the governing body of a country shall have sole authority in determining school districts in a convenient way (Sec. 1).
Authorizes the district boundary board to have over all school districts in the state and joint districts in the state (Sec. 1).
Authorizes the district boundary board to make alterations and changes in the school districts in the manner specified by law. (Sec. 1).
Authorizes the district boundary board to record any changes and submit them to the department of education (Sec. 1).
Authorizes this change to go into effect post January 1st 2024 (Sec. 2).
Authorizes the higher education coordinating commission shall make available to the public a record of any new changes to the school districts (Sec. 4).
Requires this act to go into effect immediately when passed (Sec. 6).
