Title: Expands Definition of Who Can Access Medical Marijuana Program
A vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill to expand definition of individuals who can access medical Marijuana program.
Requires the department establish the form and content of registration and renewal applications (Sec. 3).
Requires the department establish a system to numerically score competing medical cannabis establishment applicants (Sec. 3).
Requires the department establish a system to govern the manner in which the department considers applications for and renewals of registry identification cards (Sec. 3).
Requires the department establish a system to govern the cannabis establishments to ensure the health of safety of their clients, which include the following (Sec. 3):
Oversight requirements;
Record-keeping requirements;
Security requirements;
Health and safety regulations;
Standards for the making of cannabis products;
Requirements for how medical cannabis establishments handle the transportation and storage of cannabis;
Employment and training requirements;
Advertising and display restrictions on cannabis products;
Safety standards for the safe manufacturing of cannabis products;
Requirements for the safe and accurate packaging, labeling, distribution, and tracking of medical cannabis;
Certification standards for testing facilities; and
Requirements for the samples of cannabis products that are submitted to testing facilities.
Requires the department establish standards for what amount of cannabis each cold harder can obtain (Sec. 3).
Requires the department establish procedures for the registration of nonresident cardholders (Sec. 3).
Requires the department establish reasonable regulations renewal fees for registry identification cards and registration certificates (Sec. 3).
