Highlights:

• Establishes the Oklahoma Crime Reclassification Act of 2023 that amends and reclassifies various felony criminal penalties in the state criminal justice system related to the following crimes, including, but not limited to (Sec. 2-3):

• Murder or manslaughter;

• Domestic abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, or rape;

• Kidnapping, soliciting a minor, or human trafficking;

• Burglary or robbery;

• Terrorism or conspiracy to commit terrorism; or

• Arson. 

• Specifies that this bill shall take full effect November 1, 2023 (Sec. 17).
