Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that requires juvenile court judges to take additional steps before they could order some children into foster care.
Requires a court to inform all relevant parties of state services and programs available which could allow a child to remain in their home prior to removal and placement in foster care (Sec. 1-2).
Requires reasonable findings be made in order for a court to remove a child from their home, including that continuing to live in the home would be contrary to the child welfare and removal is in their best interest (Sec. 1-2).
